February 22rd, Tuesday, 1st Round 2-WOMEN SCRAMBLE

Both golfers hit drives.  They compare and choose the best position.  The ball must be placed within one club length (tee to green) no closer to the hole.  Both golfers then play their second shots from that location.  Again, they choose the best location and continue this process until the ball is holed and the gross score is recorded as the team score.  On the green, the ball must be placed within one putter-head length no closer to the hole.

Each player of the twosome must contribute a minimum of 4 drives each.  Put a “checkmark” on the scorecard on the hole that a player uses one of her drives.

For a Scramble, the USGA recommends 35% of the lower handicap player plus 15% of the higher player which equals the Team course handicap.

February 24th, Thursday, 2nd Round 2-WOMEN BETTER BALL

Each player of the team plays their own ball on each hole tee to green.  The better gross score and better net score of the team is used for the team score.  Full course handicaps are used.

March 1st, Tuesday, 3rd Round 2-WOMEN SHAMBLE

Each player drives her ball.  The team selects one of the drives.  The ball must be placed within one club length no closer to the hole.  Each player continues playing their own ball until they hole out or pick up.  One ball must be holed out.

Each player of the twosome must contribute a minimum of 4 drives each.  Put a “checkmark” on the scorecard on the hole that a player uses one of her drives.

For a 2-person Shamble the USGA recommends 70% of the combined course handicap.
